Just
a few basic tips:
You will need
a good mountain bike, robust enough to endure the rigours of off-road riding
You must wear a helmet when riding with the club
Bring a drink with you (water, squash or an energy drink)
One of us will always carry equipment for basic repairs (such as repairing
a puncture or adjusting brakes/gears). We also carry a first aid kit. We do
recommend that if you plan to ride regularly, you also carry a means to repair
a puncture (patches or a spare inner tube) as well as basic survival equipment
(first aid kit, 20 or 50 pence piece to make an emergency call etc.)
Many of our ride trails are used by both walkers and horse riders; both care
and courtesy are essential

and would like to come out on a few rides before joining.
